SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - A stalled front over central Florida will keep showers and storms in the forecast through Thursday, with downpours possible at any time during the day. Storms may become more numerous in the afternoon, but the timing remains uncertain.Thursday is a First Alert Weather Day. Rain could be heavy at times, creating a risk of localized flooding. Forecast rainfall totals are generally 1 to 3 inches over the next 24 to 48 hours, with isolated areas potentially reaching 5 inches.More than 4 inches of rain has already fallen near the north end of Anna Maria Island over the past few days, while offshore totals have reached 8 to 9 inches. A flood advisory issued earlier has expired for west central Manatee County.A few showers are possible tonight, with a 30% chance of rain. A thunderstorm cannot be ruled out late tonight or Thursday morning, but severe weather is not expected.Boaters should also be aware of choppy conditions as waves from Isaias move through the Gulf.
