LINCOLN PARK — Filmmaker Daniel Clarke knows the Peter Pan-esque feeling that happens when riding a bike. As a kid, when you first put your feet on the pedal and learn how to push, there s an immediate sense of accomplishment that s then met with the unbelievable feeling of freedom and independence from your family, Clarke said. As an adult, when the day is long and life isn t easy, getting on a bike can make that sensation come rushing back. Put more simply: It makes you feel better, Clarke said. Clarke wanted to bottle that feeling and tell a story about cycling, he said. He decided to do so through the lens of the Schwinn Bicycle Company — the iconic bike brand that defined and transformed the industry for nearly a century before its collapse into bankruptcy in 1992. No Hands: The Wild Ride of the Schwinn Bicycle Company will screen at The Chicago International Film Festival this weekend. Tickets for the 3 p.m. Sunday showing at the Chicago History Museum, 160
